Introduction🔗

TTDA offers free self‑service CNC router that can cut, drill, and emboss wood, plastic, and corrugated cardboard.

Note

  • The workshop does not supply or sell materials; users must bring their own safe and suitable materials.

  • Atelier CNC cannot handle hard materials such as metal, stone, glass, etc.

* Loose hair needs to be tied up; avoid wearing loose clothing and accessories that hang.
** Material may catch fire due to friction when feedrate is too slow.

Usage & Reservation🔗

Online reservations are required; there is no on‑site queue or spontaneous use.

  • Reservation: Book CNC
  • Location: RB B1
  • Operating rules: Users must convert files and operate the machine themselves. If unfamiliar, please ask the management facaulty staff.

Importing the configurations requires switching to Manufacture workspace

1. Import Machine Library🔗

  1. In Manage ➔ Machine Library ➔ Local, select Import
  2. Choose the extracted Machine.machine file

2. Import Post‑Processing Library🔗

  1. After importing the machine, the post‑processor should be missing; click Select a post…
  2. In Local, select Import
  3. Choose the extracted Weihong NC105 G2.cps file

After successful import, a green check appears under the machine

3. Import Tool Library🔗

  1. In Manage ➔ Tool Library ➔ Local ➔ Library, right‑click and select Import tools
  2. Choose the extracted Tools.tools file

After import, all tools are displayed

Warn

  • Not all tools are available; some may be unavailable due to wear or other reasons.
  • Tools labeled ENGR are suitable only for surface engraving.
  • Tools labeled CMPS should only be used when cutting depth is ≥ 6 mm on each pass.

If the workshop lacks a suitable milling tool, users may bring and use their own.
